Some experiments i did with natural diuretics

vegetables with diuretic properties

The problem:

This is the story of my experiments on herbal diuretics. I got lethargic due to bloating in stomach and excess weight. It made me feels awkward to put on tight tops or display my waist. I found that my excessive weight had caused as great problem for me. I started a method of diet control and exercise. But these attempts begot newer difficulties. My hard work, the exercise, increased my hunger. I had changes in diets for six months. To my sorrow, I found that it added a few inches to my waist instead of slimming it down. I realized that I had been suffering from a problem of water retention in my body which is medically called edema. I went for a physician.

The Surprise:

I got scared at what the doctor told me. He told me that retention of water in the body is harmful like dehydration. It can cause major health problems if not controlled. Swelling in abdomen and lower limbs are the primary symptoms. Edema leads to malfunction of kidney and heart.

The solution:

Thanks to God that I found a solution. The doctor simply suggested me to take diuretic foods on a regular basis. Diuretics are substances which flush out unnecessary fluid from the body through urine, he added. He suggested for over-the-counter diuretics or herbal diuretics instead.

The Experiments:

Coming back from the doctor, I went to a pharmacy and bought the supplement recommended by the pharmacist. I started taking the OTC diuretic water pills twice a day. I had dizziness and blurred vision for which I could not concentrate on work whole of the next week. Worse than that, it caused loss of appetite and severe itching which added to my discomforts. This state of being compelled me to have another appointment with my family physician. To was shocked to hear that all these happened due to secondary effects of the diuretic water pills. I was not wise enough to check out whether these pills were herbals.

The change:

I am now shifted to herbal diuretics according to the doctor’s advice. Now I choose diuretics that do not contain any chemical substance. The ingredients in these diuretic foods are fresh and excellent. They are important too. The herbal diuretics which I take now have dandelion and linden.

New diet:

There are fresh vegetables and fruits in my diet. They contain much water having better diuretic properties.  I found more information on natural diuretics and you can check them at http://natural-diuretics.com . I start my day with a bowl of fresh fruits and a cup of herbal tea. Usually I spice up the fruits with juniper, berries, dandelion, parsley or celery seeds all of which are natural diuretics. Almost all of these herbals are easily available. Sometimes I dress up my fruits with natural yoghurt for the sake of a variety. Papaya is another diuretic food that works for me better. The early morning with an empty stomach is perhaps the best time for taking herbal diuretics.

Warnings:

Finally I suggest you not to make any mistake as I did. Following are the recommendations for you:

-start diuretic foods slowly,

-start with one herb and fruit at a time,

-eliminate sodium intake by reducing canned food and salt in food,

-increase your intake gradually and

-regain loss of vitamins and minerals caused by consumption of diuretics.

The achievements:

I could realize a great improvement in my health within two months of my shifting to natural diuretics. The puffiness in my tummy is gone and I feel relatively low in weight. I am more energetic now and I have got back self-confidence.
